Most of this energy is converted into thermal energy, which significantly increases the temperature of the medium. The application of low-intensity ultrasound does not cause any changes in the state of the medium, only the application of high-intensity ultrasound may have a strong impact on the medium, leading to cavity effects. For most chemical reactions, the reaction rate increases with the increase of sound intensity. However, the effect of ultrasonic intensity is greatly influenced by the temperature of the medium.
