What is the working principle of CNC engraving rollers? Is the price of CNC engraving rollers expensive?

　　CNC engraving rollers are suitable for various raw materials, such as aluminum, bronze, plastic sheets, wood, PVC, PCB or other plastics, gluewood, etc. CNC engraving rollers are mainly used for drilling, circuit board engraving, small part splitting, and mold engraving. What can CNC carving rollers do? Is the price of CNC engraving rollers expensive? We will answer these questions below.

　　1. Splitting and carving. It uses the splitting method to process the desired shape on the surface of the raw material, which first decomposes and expresses the shape into multiple line forms, and then uses laser to split these lines to obtain the shape represented by the splitting lines.

　　2. Concave carving. Cut off a portion of the shape and preserve the surface of the raw material around the shape. There are two cases here. One scenario is that each point on the shape has the same cutting force. The carving shape is mainly reflected in the contour shape. The second scenario is based on shadow distribution and shape contrast. The "dark" part of the shape is split more, while the "bright" part of the shape is split less or less. The former is suitable for carving shapes such as characters, animals, and plants based on their appearance, while the latter is more suitable for carving details such as facial expressions of characters.

　　3. Convex carving. Unlike mold carving, this carving process only splits the raw materials around the shape, with the same splitting force at each point, but the raw materials of the shape itself are not split. This carving method is suitable for expressing text, graphic contours, etc. In the latter two carving methods, the material removal method is to split a linear groove each time the laser head walks on the split surface, and then move a small distance to split the next line. In general, the distance between two grooves is 0.05-0.5mm. In this way, multiple linear splits are used to remove the areas required for the two carving forms to form the raw materials. Of course, in the second form of mold carving, the size of the grooves, especially the depth of the grooves, will change on the same splitting line as needed.

　　We still need to decide whether the price of the carving roller is expensive or not based on the raw materials. The CNC engraving roller body is made of thick walled steel pipes. After finite element analysis (FEA) and design, the bed provides a rigid and stable machining platform for the lathe, and all parts of the bed are stress relieved before machining. All positioning bearings, ball screws, linear guides, and racks of CNC engraving rollers are maintained by the centralized automatic lubrication system of the machine tool control system. This is the method recommended by manufacturers of ball screws and linear guides.
